Another fortunate Soul Liberated from Kashi

On Oct 5, 2018; Facebook had a dazzling picture of
Subhrangshu Maharaj who had suddenly left his mortal coil at the age of 54 yrs
in Benaras, the Moksha City. Its Hindu Belief that any living creature that
dies in Benaras, aka Kashi, aka Varanasi is immediately liberated. This fact
has been corroborated by none other than Thakur Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa Dev
and our Holy Mother, Sri Sarada Devi and many direct disciples of Thakur.
This rare fortunate soul known as Swami Gunottamanandaji Maharaj, aka Subhrangshu Maharaj, had a wonderful divine vision at
Holy Mother’s birthplace, Joyrambati. We
are indebted to Revd. Tanmoy Maharaj for sharing this with all of fortunate-us.

and the original posts were in Bengali; for all the non-Bengali literate friends
here is my attempted translation.
Revd. Subhrangshu Maharaj hailed
from a noted Vaishnav family which holds lineage to 13th generation
of Sri Advaita Prabhu from his father’s side and Sri Nityananda Prabhu on his
mother’s side. (Note: sanyasis are
beyond any birth lineage, caste etc.; but this information will help explain
that God cannot be categorized).
By Divine providence one day he had
the task of offering the midday Bhog to Holy Mother in Her temple in JOYRAMBATI.
In just a little while, to his utter astonishment, Mother’s statue had vanished
and, in its place, a huge Shivalinga was there! On top of the Shivalinga was a
little girl worshipping the Shivalinga with a small brass vessel ...! Repeatedly he looked but the scene did not
change. He could not determine if it was hallucination or true!
Then Revd. Subhrangshu Maharaj,
went to (then) President Revd. Atmasthanandaji Maharaj and narrated the entire
incident. With tearful eyes Revd. President Maharaj confirmed stating “What you
have seen is all True. Holy Mother herself used to say that Joyrambati is Shivapuri
(City of Lord Shiva). That Shivalinga is Thakur Himself and that little girl on
top of the Shivalinga worshipping Him is none other than Kumari-Kanya - Mother
Parvati or Sri Sri Ma, our Holy Mother.”
